One Year! And still going strong!

It was exactly at this time of the year, right after Diwali, that I had picked up my crochet hooks out of hibernation of almost seven years. It has been incredible journey so far and I'm becoming nostalgic looking back at how far I've come.

It all started with beanies and sweaters for my little one. Then, it went on to more sweaters for some new borns in my family.

Then I became a part of a few Crochet Alongs. It was an amazing experience, where I learnt a lot of new techniques and made a lot of new crochet friends. It is really inspiring to meet like minded people. I will highly recommend any beginner crocheter to become a part of such groups.

It was a year of handmade gifts. I'm so glad I could gift something special and unique to all the special people I loved. From scarves to bags, there was so much to do!

This is the first time I came across Crochet Amigurumi Toys. And believe me, they are so much fun to make and play with too

.
I learnt a lot from Ravelry. There are so many things you can make with just some yarn and a hook. And there are so many different types of yarns and threads. You can crochet with almost anything, from thread, to yarn, to nylon, to wire, to plarn. The list is endless. There are a few I have tried, and there is so much still on my to-do list.

It has been an amazing journey so far, and I just hope I can keep the momentum going in the years to come!
